Christmas Holidays

We will close for Christmas Holidays from Tuesday 8th December. The studio will re-open on Wednesday 6th January 2016. The office (calls/texts/emails) will be unattended from Monday 21 December – Wednesday 6th January.

Christmas Toy Appeal

This year we are running a Christmas Toy Appeal in association with St Vincent De Paul. Anyone who wishes to donate a new toy can bring it to their next class. We are looking for toys for girls and boys as well as pyjamas, gloves, hats and scarves. If you are wrapping your gift, please mark on the label whether it is for a girl or boy and the appropriate age group. The final day to drop in your toy is Tuesday 8th December.

Term Dates 2016

Term one runs until Friday 22nd January 2016. Fees are not due until the start of Term 2 and remain the same as for term 1. Term 2 will commence on Monday 25th January 2016 – Friday 3rd June 2016.

We will close for Mid Term Break from Monday 15th – Friday 19th February inclusive.

We will close on Thursday 17th March but will have classes that Friday 18th March.

After our Easter Pantomime the studio will close for 2 weeks and will re-open on Monday 11th April.

Easter Pantomime 2016

Our annual Easter Pantomime will run in The Everyman Palace Theatre Wednesday 23rd, Thursday 24th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March (Easter Sunday). We will not have any show/rehearsal on Good Friday 25th March. We will have rehearsals in The Palace from Monday 21st March. All students will be involved in this production. More details will be given in the New Year. Our custom of keeping the show title a secret until January will remain!!!!

Drama & Dance Exams

Dance (United Teachers of Dance) and Drama (LAMDA) exams will run in Term 2. These usually take place in May/June but dates will be confirmed in the New Year. Students wishing to undertake their dance and drama graded exams will be required to attend an extra weekly class. Full details on the exams will be sent home in January.

Anyone wishing to take on a new subject with us for Term 2, should contact the office. Dance/Singing/ Cheer 021 4367967/ 087 2420630. Drama 021 4891249.  Anyone who is not returning after Christmas/ Term 2 might let us know so that your place can be offered to someone on our waiting list.

A new course of Acting for Camera will run in January for 6 weeks. This course is suitable for 12 years plus and costs €200.  Students and Non students welcome. To book contact 021 4891249.

Happy Christmas

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff, students and parents for their hard work and support this term. We had a super busy time with two trips to London, The Circus Event in Tramore Valley Park,  Tosca and Carmen Operas in The Cork  Opera House, Christmas Cabarets in Douglas Court and Douglas Village Shopping Centres, Singing showcase, 21st Century Cheer and Dance Competition and we have 3 students representing Ireland in the United Teachers of Dance Scholarship Competition in Birmingham in December and finally we have several students dancing in The Cork Opera House Pantomime Beauty and The Beast which stars our very own Declan Wolfe in the role of Chip. Happy Christmas, Careen and Declan!
