Just a reminder that we are training in Douglas Gymnastics Club this Sunday 29th November. Those involved in solos/ stunt teams should arrive at 6pm. All other cheer teams at 6.30pm. Parents can attend at 8.30pm to view the routines and students will be ready to leave by 8.45pm. Those involved in the Jazz, Pom and Hip Hop teams should arrive at 8.30pm and will be finished by 9.30pm. Parents wishing to view these dance pieces should arrive at 9.20pm.  The cost of this training session is €2.

We will be departing from the stage school @5.30am on Saturday 12th December. The competition is due to finish at 6.30pm and so we should be back in Cork at 8.30pm approx. Please bring a pack lunch and plenty of water. We will stop on our way up for breakfast and there is a café and stalls at the event that sell food, so please bring money. I have enforced a no sweets/goodies/fizzy drinks rule in the club prior to competing. Once your daughter has finished her competitions she is free to eat sugar! I have taken a list of parents wishing to travel on the bus with us, however if you still wish to come, we have a few spaces.  Spectators admission to the event cost €15 and children under 12 €8.

Cash for Clothes amounted to €500 so the cost of our bus per head is €8 per head. Please bring to training next Thursday in the studio (not to the gym).

Uniforms are in and can be purchased after class today, at the gym or next Thursday. Coach Ruth is dealing with all uniforms.

What to Bring

For competition, all cheerleaders need their full uniform. The novice Level 1 need a  plain white, round neck, long sleeved top for under their cheer uniform, plain white boxer shorts/ hot pants for under the skirt, tan tights and plain white runners (available in Tesco). Junior & senior teams need their uniform and black hot pants/boxers for under the skirt, tan tights and plain white runners. Each cheer leader needs to bring hair products (brush, gel, hair spray, clips, pins , bobbles) with them. Junior and Senior teams can bring their own make up. We will do their hair and makeup at the event. I will supply the cheer bows.
